Sugar Vs. Honeysuckle Powder

February is the month of chocolates, baked goodies, and roses (some of which are also chocolate). Can you say sugar overload? If you are looking to enjoy this sweet treat month, but are concerned about taking in too much sugar, you’re in luck! There are sugar alternatives that offer the sweet without the guilt.

You may be wondering why a sugar alternative is a better option. Well, white sugar is refined and may increase your risk of several diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It offers absolutely no nutritional benefits either. At my core, I am a moderate thinker so I would say if you have a hankering for some things that are sweetened with white sugar, by all means, do so sparingly.

On the other hand, honeysuckle powder is an organic, natural sweetener derived from honeysuckle nectar. It is vegan, gluten free and has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and calming properties.
