Holiday Hot Chocolate Pops

Makes: 12 pops
Prep Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients: 

Supplies:

  • 6 silicone 2 ½” round candy molds
  • 6 silicone 2 ½” heart-shaped candy molds 

Directions: 

  1. Place 1 ½ cups  of white chocolate chips and 1 tsp Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Oil in a plastic microwaveable bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, remove from the microwave and stir. Repeat until most of the chocolate is melted (about 80%) and stop so chocolate doesn’t burn. Stir until smooth.
  2. Open 6 silicone 2 1/2” round candy molds and place them bottom side down, onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spoon 1/12th of the melted white chocolate into each half of the molds, thickly coating all sides. Let the chocolate harden, waiting approximately 20 minutes at room temperature. When the chocolate has set, transfer the molds to the freezer for about 5 minutes. Remove from the freezer and detach the chocolate shells from the mold.
  3. Place 1 ½ cups of dark chocolate chips and 1 tsp Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Oil in a plastic microwaveable bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, remove from microwave and stir. Repeat until most of the chocolate is melted (about 80%) and stop so chocolate doesn’t burn. Stir until smooth. 
  4. Open 6 silicone 2 1/2” heart-shaped candy molds and place them bottom side down, onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spoon 1/12th of the melted dark chocolate chips into each half of the molds, thickly coating all sides. Let the chocolate harden, approximately 20 minutes at room temperature. When the chocolate has set, transfer the molds to the freezer for about 5 minutes. Remove from the freezer and detach the chocolate shells from the mold.
  5. For the snowman bombs, fill half of each white chocolate sphere with 1 scoop of simply tera’s organic dark chocolate whey protein powder, a few mini marshmallows, and the tip of an unwrapped candy cane. Place the edges of the remaining spheres onto a warm pan or hot plate for just a few seconds, to lightly melt the edges, and then place them on the filled spheres to seal. Decorate with colored melted chocolate. 
  6. For the heart pops, fill half of each heart mold with 1 scoop of simply tera’s organic dark chocolate whey protein powder, a few mini marshmallows, and the tip of an unwrapped candy cane. Place the edges of the remaining hearts onto a warm pan or hot plate for just a few seconds, to lightly melt the edges, and then place them on the filled hearts to seal. Decorate with melted chocolate. 
  7. To serve, heat 6-8 oz of milk in a mug and microwave for 2 minutes, then place 1 holiday pop upside down in the mug, and holding the candy cane, stir until the chocolate and simply tera’s are dissolved. Enjoy!
