Simply Baked Chicken Parmesan



Carrington Farms’ Coconut Oil Cooking Spray
1/4 cup water
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup Carrington Farms’ Garlic and Parmesan Crounons, crushed
2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 cup Marinara sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 aluminum pan or baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk water and egg. In a smaller bowl, combine crushed Crounons, 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat with crounon mixture. Repeat this again with the same chicken breast so there is a double coating of egg and crounon mixtures on each chicken breast. Place the chicken breasts in the aluminum pan and coat them with cooking spray.
Place in pre-heated oven and cook for 40 minutes. Evenly pour marinara sauce over each chicken breast and top with mozzarella cheese and remaining Parmesan cheese.
Place back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes, until chicken is no longer pink in the center. Broil for another 2-3 minutes until cheese is browned and crispy as desired.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Enjoy over pasta, zucchini noodles, or with roasted potatoes.
