Semolina Bear Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1-1/3 cups warm water (between 110-115°F)
- 2-1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 cups Carrington Farms Semolina Flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Carrington Farms Organic Milled Flax Seeds
- 1 tbsp Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Cooking Oil, plus more for the bowl
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni
- Fresh Basil
- 3 tsp balsamic vinegar glaze
Directions:
- Activate yeast by stirring it with warm water and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foamy.
- Combine Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Cooking Oil, salt, Carrington Farms Semolina Flour, all-purpose flour, and Carrington Farms Organic Milled Flax Seeds in a mixer. Knead on medium low speed for 10 minutes until the dough comes together.
- Lightly oil the dough and bowl, cover, and let it rest for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Split the dough into three parts (1 large for the pizza and 2 small for the bear's ears). Roll out the pizza dough on a surface sprinkled with the semolina flour and add the small dough balls as ears. Top with tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and fresh basil.
- Bake at 475°F for approximately 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven, use a piping bag with balsamic vinegar glaze to draw the bear's eyes and nose.
